Download Data Without Visiting Your Logger
The Em50R lets you download data without plugging into your data
logger as long as you are within radio range (typically 1-3
miles). The Em50R is a self-contained data logger built to
power, read, and log data from five sensors. Logged data are
transmitted via radio signal to a Decagon base station. All
Decagon sensors work with the Em50R; no programming is
necessary.
The Em50R has been used:
- To monitor greenhouse fertigation from an office.
- To collect data from 42 logger nodes in a soil moisture
variation study.
- To monitor multiple fields from a central support
building.
Easy Connectivity Check
See signal strength and connection quality in real time as you
pick the best spot for the data logger and antenna. This feature
lets you test connectivity BEFORE you install the logger.
Safeguard Your Data
Occasionally, external factors can interfere with transmission.
The Em50R has a "confirm data delivery" protocol to make sure that
every data transfer is correct and complete. Transmitted data is
also backed up in the data logger memory to give you an extra layer
of data protection
